What are the causes of obesity and what can we do about it? – 13th June 2017, London, UK

SCOPE School London 2017

The theme of this SCOPE School is: What are the causes of obesity and what can we do about it?

13th June 2017, London, UK

The aim of this one day SCOPE School is to explore the putative factors that may cause obesity and to evaluate how a better understanding of the aetiology may improve treatment approaches.

Treatment for obesity is a priority, but is complicated by healthcare professionals often not understanding the aetiology of the disease they are trying to treat. Our inability to diagnose the various factors that may cause obesity and to provide targeted treatments often result in unsatisfactory outcomes. A better understanding of the multiple causes of obesity would improve the clinical approach of healthcare professionals.

These events are targeted at professionals working in clinical practice, including: nurses, nutritionists, physiotherapists and anybody who works directly with obese patients as well as students training in the area of obesity.

Attendees of this event will earn 4 SCOPE points and 16 CPD points (pending)
